Between the wharf and the yacht club, overlooking the boats at anchor in the bay is a lawned area with shade trees, bench seats, a small sandy beach, free electric barbecue and a children’s playground.
The wharf is used by commercial fishing boats for unloading their catch and is ideal for family fishing. There is also a small fishing jetty at Snapper Point which is located not far from where the main road enters Coffin Bay.
On the other side of the wharf and boat slipway are steps leading down to a shaded sandy beach with a marked area for swimming with two pontoons in the deeper water.
Close by are public conveniences. The Oyster Walk meanders along the length of the foreshore prior to heading up to the lookout from where you can survey the town and extensive system of bays.
